Lula, who was convicted in a series of corruption charges that he says were politically motivated, has been all but cleared to revive his political career. Charges against the populist left-leaning leader were overturned amid a crisis of massive proportions as the coronavirus rages through Brazil leaving President Bolsonaro in a weakened position.
