FEATURING GEO MAHER - The 2020 uprisings for racial justice sparked many questions about the violence that police have wrought on Black and Brown communities for generations. It also sparked on a nationwide level, via the slogan “Defund the Police,” the radical idea of abolishing police altogether.

While many books have been written on the problems of policing to make a case for abolition, there are few that actually tackle what abolition could look like. One of them is a new book by author Geo Maher called A World Without Police.
