About Iggy:
Iggy started her music career on the East Coast at the age of 15 as a lead singer and guitarist in a folk-alternative band, Gummy Dinosaurs. When the opportunity came to move across the country to Oakland in 1994, Iggy landed a few blocks from a record store, where she bought her first dance track, making the plunge into DJing. After years of carrying bags of vinyl on her skateboard, visiting friends with decks and sound systems, she built her own system, the BoomZilla Sound. With the help of her best friend, Disco Dianna, the BoomZilla Sound Collective was formed.

The Boomzilla Sound Collective (BSC) is a non-profit organization connecting musicians to collaborate and create a unique audio experience through community, inclusivity and expression. Iggy and Dianna manage the BSC music studio in Oakland to provide a space for the musicians to collaborate, experiment and evolve their art. The BCS curates many events every year for the current and prospective collective members to share their art with people who love music. Their events range from dance parties, live streaming broadcasts, and DJ workshops for aspiring artists.
