We put a lot of faith in experts - but not experts in faith! Our postmodern world is so complex, many believe, that we can't hope to understand any part of it without at least a doctorate degree. And so we look to the "experts." But many of those are not experts, in the original sense of the word: someone having experience. Contrast this with the spiritual world, in which all unlearned opinions are supposed to be equally valid. And there we have real experts, like Peter who saw the glorified Christ with his own eyes.
