The Mark of the Beast is the sign of a "dead man walking." The Antichrist won't be big on religious liberty. You can either take his mark, and eat; or refuse it, and die. But to allow that mark is to align yourself with the losing side, and ultimately to forfeit eternal life. The stakes are as high as possible at the end of the human drama.
