It's not just sex and sensuality; it's a spirit promoting all forms of gratification outside God's design. It tempts us to indulge our carnal nature as if we had no higher nature. It's a worldview personified in Revelation as "The Harlot." This particular lie is linked to a particular city. And that city is doomed.
