In this very special episode of Ride and Talk, we celebrate the 90th birthday of Ted Simon – one of the original adventure motorcyclists. Ted has been inspiring thousands of us to travel on two wheels ever since his iconic Jupiter’s Travels book was published in 1973, detailing his 125,000 km round-the-world motorcycle ride over four years.

Ted repeated this amazing feat many years later at the age of 70, this time on a BMW R 80 GS Basic, telling the story of his second incredible journey in his book Dreaming of Jupiter. Ted seldom gives interviews these days but was happy to chat with Andy Dukes about how the world has changed during his lifetime of adventure.
