Ride and Talk - #5 GS 'family' - History with Fred Jakobs

Welcome back again, it’s great to have you here! What’s happening this time? Well, the Int. GS Trophy is drawing ever closer, so first up, I’ll be talking with a couple of characters who are well known in the GS ‘family’. It’s Shawn Thomas and Jocelin Snow, who recently heard the great news that they had been confirmed as the new GS Trophy ‘presenters’ of the daily film highlights. I spoke with them soon after they’d heard the good news and their delight is wonderfully evident!

After that, we go ‘back in time’ with BMW Motorrad historian Fred Jakobs, who tells us what the world was like 50 years ago when BMW launched the original /5 models – and how he’s got his eye on the all-new R nineT /5 special anniversary bike that pays homage to this iconic model series and has recently arrived in dealers.
