The end result was a film that would deeply affect and change us all,” Guzman says.Rave reviews were received after screening at the 2011 Cinequest Film Festival and 2011 Dallas International Film Festival. Including Variety: “An exceptional offbeat suspensor,” “Rossi is creepily convincing as a sociopath.” And called “ a dark and challenging film” by Go See Talk.“A Kiss and A Promise” follows the story of David Beck (Mick Rossi), a closet sociopath but seemingly normal man, who owns and operates a bed and breakfast in Ontario with his wife (Natasha Gregson Wagner, who is the spitting image of her famous mother Natalie Wood), a fiery woman with masochistic tendencies. The harmony of the house is disrupted when a young girl’s body is found on the edge of town.
