Duane Journey is the Line Producer for the feature film No God No Master staring David Straithairn. A seasoned production manager & film maker, Duane has over 20 years in the entertainment industry. In jobs ranging from Line Producer, Unit Production Manager, Studio Executive, Key Grip, First AD, & more. He lives in Los Angeles & has worked for all the major studios & many of the minor production companies.
Duane has learned the production process from the ground up, since 1980 he has worked on over 65 feature length films & over 400 television shows such as “ALIAS”, LOST & FALICITY, “THE GOERGE CARLIN SHOW”, ”CAROLINE IN THE CITY”, “ON THE AIR” & “MAD ABOUT YOU”. Starting his career as a casting assistant, he decided to move on to the set working as a technician, Later becoming a union Gaffer and Key Grip working on shows like “ HOUSE PARTY”, “THE OUTSIDERS”, “MEN IN BLACK”.
In 1986 he became the in-house production manager for a major Los Angeles commercial production company, United Odyssey presiding over the production of over 80 commercial spots. Handling, all aspects of the company’s production & agency relations. He produced a ten part documentary series Hal Lindsey’s “TOUR OF THE HOLYLAND”, he took his crew for five months through the Middle East.
Duane has been the Senior Vice President of Production for an independent production company. There he was Supervising Producer for the production of several feature films, TV pilots and a record album Percy Sledge’s “Shining Thru The Rain”. A few of the projects under his supervision were THERE’S A GOD ON THE MIC, 2001 MANIACS, THE THIRD NAIL and THE SCREAMING COCKTAIL HOUR.
Mr. Journey has a passion for production & the history of film making which is evident when you talk with him. “Every day I get to work with talented film makers & crew, who could ask for anything more”.
