We talked tin our lastepisode about warning signs, and there are still a few to go over. Especially the warning signs of sexual offenders. But we are going to start talking about “now what?” Part 2. What do we do after a disclosure. How do we help the victim and not compromise a case? How do we handle this when the abuse comes from within your own family, which it likely will be.
There are definite and outlined reasons victims do not come forward and we are here to help eliminate these reasons. Sexual abuse itself is such a violation to the human integrity and its traumatic. It’s even more traumatic to come out with it in an environment meant specifically to suppress.
