Tuesday Night - Wednesday

The gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke report Jesus is staying outside of the city at Bethany and also the Mt. of Olives. Bethany is a small village on the eastern slope of the Mt. of Olives. Bethany is mentioned frequently in the New Testament. It was the home of Mary and Martha and their brother Lazarus. The Mt. Of Olives is part of a mountain ridge that extends over two miles on the eastern side of the Old City of Jerusalem and separates it from the Judaean desert. Its Name means Oil Press.

Further down the slope of the Mt. Of Olives is the Garden of Gethsemane.
