Rested XP is a New World Podcast hosted by MTBtrigger and Ronal.

On this episode, MTBtrigger and Ronal talk about their first run through the Dynasty Expedition.  The expedition was technically for characters of slightly lower level compared to the pair at level 60.  Dynasty still posed a challenge as this was MTB’s first attempt at healing in New World and Ronal’s first experience with tanking.  Both have extensive experience in both categories in other MMOs, but the action combat system allows for and creates unique challenges which the pair discusses in this episode.

In addition to the role changes, MTB also talked about the Void Gauntlet, the new weapon added in the 1.1 patch.  The weapon seemed like a natural pair to the life staff, but MTB found the synergies to run deep with both weapons which was further solidified by the challenging encounters in Dynasty.

Finally, there is a closing thought about the hope directed towards Amazon not giving up on PvE content.  The game has publicly been developed with a PvP mindset with many of the PvE elements relying on PvP features.  MTB and Ronal both resonated with the idea that New World has a massive opportunity for unique and engaging content in the PvE space.
