I’ve had my share of business interruptions and natural disasters.. Two weeks out from opening my very first restaurant, flood waters came right to the front door and stopped just short of the carpet. Years later, our POS system crashed one busy night and sent my 300 seat place into complete chaos. These were relatively minor occurrences, but when a major ice storm knocked out power for 3 critical weeks, my restaurant barely survived the loss of business.

The point is, unless you can see around corners, you never know what minor and major risks are ready to happen when you least expect that can harm your operation - maybe even force you to close your doors. You would not believe the statistics of how many small businesses actually fail and never re-open following a major business disturbance. That’s why you need a solid plan to prepare for the unexpected, no matter what that could be.

In today’s episode, I speak with Lisandra Pagan, a business interruption expert who lost her own small business to an unforeseen natural disaster. Listen and learn all you can do to not only survive the unexpected, but to move forward more positively and confidently than before. Lisandra is generously offering a Free 30 minute business consultation and pre-planning session at her website www.deliberateplan.com and make sure to click her Podcast tab to listen and learn more. I can’t imagine time better spent or anything more important than protecting your business.

I hope today’s episode gives you food for thought and helps you create “Plan B”. Just for listening, I have a free gift for you at this link: http://training.restaurantrockstars.com
