The note D is said to be tied to the functions of the adrenal glands, the muscular system of the body, and has a major influence on the reproductive system. It also activates the bladder, kidneys, pancreas, and spleen. 

The key of D is also emotionally tied to comfort. It encourages being comfortable in your own skin. It brings the ability to give and receive acceptance.

Spiritually the note D awakens the desire for blossoming. Once you are grounded, then comes growth, which leads to spiritual completion.
