The Pros and Cons of Starting a Membership Site

As social media changes, our public platforms become vulnerable. 

When my Facebook Ads Manager got hacked, maxing out my credit card, I knew I could get it resolved, but it was such a pain. Then I was locked out of my Facebook account--twice! My Instagram account ended up with a copycat account pretending to be me.  

Okay, I'm slow, but the writing on the wall became obvious. I needed a different way to be social without social media--or less of it. 

My solution was to launch a membership site. 

Owning a membership site and building an engaged community unlocks opportunities to create a safe think tank that is not public. 

Although there are many advantages, you must consider if a membership site is right for you.
