Arlene Stein, a professor of Sociology at Rutgers University and director of the Institute for Research on Women is the author of six books and the recipient of the Ruth Benedict Prize, and has gone outside the box with her most recent book Unbound: Transgender Men and the Remaking of Identity, which is a narrative- based book rather than a scientific, data based book.

We follow the story of four individuals transitioning, one of which, Ben Shepard, we have the opportunity to speak to along with Arlene on this episode.

Discover why Arlene researched and wrote Unbound, and all about the transition process, along with ways you can support the LGBTQ+ community moving forward.
