Dr. O’Brien received her MSW from Hunter College, CUNY, and completed her PhD in Sociology at NYU. After two years in psychoanalytic training at the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (IPTAR), she is now enrolled in psychoanalytic studies at a newly established clinic, Pulsion. As well as her clinical practice, she spent years coordinating the NYC Trans Oral History Project, organizing with communities impacted by HIV and AIDS, and on the frontlines of social justice advocacy. https://usqtherapy.org/michelle-obrien/
