I’ve always been impressed with the jazzy sounds coming from Scandinavia and Finland. The countries of Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland have produced some outstanding jazz in recent years, and in the last decade or so, some great soul, too.

This set pays homage to some of my favourite Nordic artists, while giving a tip of the hat to a new generation of musicians/singers who are moving the soul yardsticks forward. Represent!
