A new era in Washington as head coach Dan Quinn led his squad in their first minicamp since the draft. In all, 35 players were present which included 22 draft picks & undrafted free agents, 9 tryout players and 4 undrafted free agents from 2023.
There were plenty of storylines from Dan Quinn’s shirt to Kliff Kingsbury’s hat to Jayden Daniels’ number. There were also plenty of on field stories to discuss to include an immediate connection between JD & 3rd round pick Luke McCaffrey.
UDFA wide receiver Rosemy-Jacksaint stole the highlight of the weekend with a ridiculous one-handed catch. The biggest disappointment may have been prized 2nd round pick Johnny Newton who watched practice with a boot on his LEFT foot, not the foot previously injured.
