Washington came out fast and took a 17-7 lead in the first half.  The offense was humming with a combination of short passes and runs and their defense kept the high octane Eagles offense at bay.  However, Jahan Dotson dropped an easy 1st down which seemed to change the momentum.

Philadelphia scored the next 14 points over the course of the next 30 minutes to take a 24-17 lead.  Washington tied it but then the Eagles scored with less than 2 minutes to go to take a 31-24 lead.

The Commanders were not done.  They scored on the games final play to come within 1 point.  Head coach Ron Rivera decided to kick the tying extra point to send the game to overtime.

The Commanders had the first crack at it but eventually had to punt after a close incompletion from Sam Howell to Terry McLaurin.  The Eagles kicked the winning field goal.
