In 1982, John Carpenter brought forth our most deep-seated fears of not being able to trust those around you with his movie, The Thing. Based on the 1938 John W. Campbell Jr. novella Who Goes There? The Thing was initially panned by critics but became a cult classic as time went on. In 2002 a video game sequel was made for the Xbox, Ps2, and PC.
