Cultures Around the World w/ Red brings you Birgit Itse! Originally from Estonia but currently living in Scotland. Birgit is a journalist who has published her own book #Becominghappy. We talk about a lot of Estonian things of course. We hit on how Estonia was the first country in the world to use online political voting. Skype came from Estonia. Swinging and singing are a huge part of Estonia, they even have a Swinging sport called Kiiking. We can thank Estonia for the use of Christmas Trees during Christmas. Estonians have a whole day dedicated to cleaning up the country, starting back in 2008 on May 3rd Estonians came out and started cleaning up the country which led to more countries around the world joining in later and this became known as World Cleanup Day!
