Why federal court overturned Ottawa's approval of Trans Mountain pipeline

On August 30, the Federal Court of Appeal ruled that the National Energy Board’s review of Kinder Morgan’s pipeline expansion was flawed and that the federal government could not rely on it as a basis for their decision to approve the project.
