Teams and businesses often use mantras to inspire, to remind, and to define. From Just Do It to Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose, these mantras are memorable. Likewise, every church has metaphors or phrases helping define core values, vision, and mission. Redemption is no different. These phrases help us define what this church is all about. Phrases like Be The Branch, Catch The Wind, Grip The Plow, Empty The Jar, and Wreck The Roof are quick and memorable ways for us to remember to keep our eyes focused on the true priorities of Jesus and His church.
From April 11 to May 9, 2021, we will examine each one of these metaphors in our sermon series Mantras. May we apply each of these to our lives and be on mission for Jesus together in the time and places he has placed us.
