Counterfeit Gods : Approval

College Gathering - 2/15/22 - Brandon Gilbert - There are many things we look to in order to feel secure, significant, and seen – these are counterfeit gods. In this series we are exploring the four source idols (or gods) that are at the root of our sin. If you find yourself constantly avoiding rejection, changing yourself to fill the perceived “needs” of a group, or being fearful of the opinions of those around you, you might just struggle with the counterfeit god of Approval. Join us as Brandon dives into this idol of Approval, and explains why Approval is a temporary, fleeting God, and points us to a much better one. // “God created the men and women with a desire to know and be known – this is a good thing.
