Scrapheap Citizen - Building a VR Ready / Star Citizen Gaming PC

Welcome to a Special Star Citizen-ish Video, I’ve been working on a Project called Scrap Heap Citizen. Trying to build a Gaming Rig, out of Server or 2nd hand components as cheaply as possible. It should be relatively repeatable by people that want to do the same too.

We are going to go over the hardware that I was able to get and why then do some benchmarks on the latest Version of 3d Mark & Star Citizen Alpha 2.1.2 with a Geforce 980ti, I’m using the EVGA SC GTX 980TI here to see if the system scales well, because let’s face it the graphics card is going to be the only component that we can’t get super cheap but if the system gets great results or bottlenecks on the card..we know were are onto a winner. Hopefully we can answer the question can we make a thrifty Star Citizen & VR Ready Machine.
