Shan Masood was written off by some - myself included - as someone not quite good enough, who perhaps got his chance because of his family connections as anything else. He disappeared back into Pakistan domestic cricket after 12 Tests, and if you never saw him again he'd barely be thought of. But instead Masood spent years rebuilding his career with the help of experts - and me - to rebuilding his game. And from the limited results we've seen so far, it was time well spent.
