How did the New York Red Bulls follow up their thumping of the Chicago Fire? By losing to the top of MLS Toronto FC in Leg 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals 2-1. Giving Toronto a lead is tough enough, but allowing them to have 2 away goals just makes things worse. Can the Red Bulls make up the difference in the second leg at Toronto?

At least the Red Bulls aren’t in the same boat as NYC FC, who is down 4-1 and has to make up the goal difference at home. The Western Conference was boring in Leg 1 with both matches ending in 0-0 draws. Maybe the 2nd Leg will provide more excitement.
