In our June edition, Grace interviewed Joy Allan, who is Lecturer in Practical Theology at Belfast Bible College. She has carried out extensive research in the area of mental health in Charismatic congregations. She talks to Grace about mental health, the importance of lament and the issue of shame (among other things). She discusses some of the problems that she found with faith and mental health, and talks positively about mental health and the church.

During the interview she mentions the following:

·      Mind & Soul Foundation: https://www.mindandsoulfoundation.org, which has helpful information

·      Book – Body: Biblical spirituality for the whole person by Paula Gooder

The Recovering God Podcast has been in existence since the summer of 2019. The team has changed over those years but we're delighted to still be offering relevant discussions covering the broad topics of feminism and the Christian faith!
