Raya has a rare neuromuscular disorder(weak muscles) which causes her to fatigue easily and she has severe food allergies. She is not able to eat enough by mouth to survive. She needs a feeding tube in order to get all the nutrients she needs to thrive and survive.
-
This is week is feeding tube awareness week and it is a special week for Raya Haykal, Andre’s little sister, who is fed by a feeding tube and without it, she would not survive. There are about 200,000 children in the United States who have a feeding tube.
-
In honor of Raya, who is dependent on her feeding tube, we would like to spread awareness by a short interview that Andre did with Raya.
