What are the words you tell yourself when nobody is around? Are they kind? Do they uplift you and make you believe in all the possibilities of who you are? I’ve been reading books lately on mindset and have realized that what we say to ourselves matters. Maybe even more than the words we share with others. If you tell yourself that you’re not coordinated and that’s why you aren’t joining the sports team, then you may miss out on building a community. If you tell yourself that you’re not creative enough to become an artist, you may just miss out on your greatest calling. When we label and put ourselves into boxes, it is who we become. When we tell ourselves negative things over and over again, that shapes the anthem of our lives.
