Succeeding in Business with Friends as Partners

Charu Bogdan's career opportunities have always flowed easily from her early days as an event planner at Microsoft to launching her own wedding consulting business, so it was no surprise when her friend - and recent event planning partner - asked if she would be interested in doing a pop-up retail store for The Cashmere Sale. 

Five years later, Charu and friends Marianne Heywood and Kelly Silver are still having fun running The Cashmere Sale in Bellevue. Charu credits their complementary skills, strong community ties and focus on friendship above the rest for making them a success even as they head into the uncharted waters of their first year of online-only sales as a result of the pandemic.
