Previous Episode: US Women's Open Preview (RG75)
Next Episode: US Open Preview (RG77)

Another exciting weekend of golf and we’re here to talk about it!

First, we kick off the episode with a recap of the 76th US Women’s Open at The Olympic Club which was won by 19-year-old Yuka Saso. Saso held off Nasa Hataoka on the third playoff hole to capture her first major victory. We discuss her impressive round as well as a complete meltdown from Lexi Thompson who saw a 5 stroke lead evaporate and the title slip through her fingers. We also talk about a couple of surging amateurs who found themselves in the top 20, including 17-year-old Megha Ganne, whose name we’ll be hearing plenty more of in the coming years.

At the same time, a ton of excitement was going down at Jack’s Place as Patrick Cantlay took home his second victory at The Memorial, also in a playoff beating out Collin Morikawa. Although the two put on a great display down the stretch, the victory was certainly overshadowed by some controversy surrounding Jon Rahm as he was forced to withdraw from the event while holding a 6-stroke lead after the third round due to a positive COVID-19 test.

Check back next week as we do a full preview of the 121st US Open at Torrey Pines. In the meantime, keep up with all things Ready Golf at:
