While we were unfortunately unable to get Collin on the show this week, we were more than happy to discuss his spectacular victory at the Open Championship in Sandwich, England. Morikawa put on a masterclass in ball striking, playing a near-perfect, bogey-free final round to win the 4th and final men’s major of the year at Royal St. George’s Golf Course. Morikawa is barely two years into his pro career, but he has already cemented himself into the history books and joins some elite company by winning his second major before the age of 25.

In addition to Morikawa, we also take some time to discuss:

what could have been for Jordan Spieth, who is now officially “back,” and how links golf really suits his game

Louis Oosthuizen coming up short once again

A fantastic week for Canadians with both Mackenzie Hughes and Corey Conners finishing in the top 20

Bryson’s latest hissy fit, this time directed at the folks at Cobra Golf

Some other noteworthy performances, including Phil, Will Zalatoris and Jon Rahm

If you’re worried about the upcoming major draught, then fear not! There are still two majors left on the Ladies’ Tour, the first of which is this week at the Evian Championship. World #2 Jin Young Ko looks to defend her title from 2019 after the event was cancelled last year.

Check back next week as we gear up for the Olympics and get into the field, the course, and potential podium we’ll see out in Tokyo. Until then, keep up with all things Ready Golf at:
