Kendrin Sonneville, ScD, RD, joins the show to chat about how weight stigma has impacted healthcare and dietetics. We talk about the lack of weight bias in research, the importance of size diversity, and progressing the field of dietetics to a more weight inclusive lens. Kendrin focuses her research on studying weight stigma as a predictor of poor health outcomes, so that we can begin to digest and dismantle fat phobia in healthcare settings. She’s also bringing this to her students and peers as an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan’s School of Public Health. Check out her UofM bio here
