Amol Muzumdar is a former professional cricketer from India, now batting coach of Rajasthan Royals.

Amol use to hold the record for the most runs scored in the domestic tournament in India, the Ranji trophy. A record that was eventually broken but he amassed over 11,000 runs in first-class cricket during his career.

I was lucky to catch up with Amol during a quick trip to Australia and within moments of talking to him, listening to his philosophies and outlook on the sport I knew I wanted to hear more. So in this episode, we talk about growing up in India during the ’80s, playing cricket in harsh conditions, building resilience, enjoying the game, how he stayed so focused during big innings and more.
