Jesus’ Lineage Covers God’s Promises to Abraham and David (Matthew 1:1)
God’s promise to Abraham: “In you, all the families of the earth will be blessed.” (Gen. 12:1-3) God’s promise to David: “Your throne will be established forever.” (2 Sam 7:8-16) This genealogy underscores the faithfulness of God to keep His promise to send a Savior.
