Text: Mark 16:1-8
An Amazing Devotion (Mark 16:1-4)
These women displayed a courageous love for Christ as they went to the tomb. These women were the primary witnesses in Scripture to the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ.
An Astounding Message (Mark 16:5-7)
The angel proclaimed the glorious news of Christ’s triumph over death. The angel compelled the women to proclaim the good news of the resurrection to the disciples.
An Astonishing Response (Mark 16:8)
The women responded to the resurrection trembling with amazement and fear. The women’s response would later be accompanied by Jesus’ presence; He would dispel their fears and assure their hearts (Matt. 28:8-10; John 20:11-18)
