http://tvotshow.com/televisionation - TVOT/ITVT is pleased to present another episode of “Televisionation,” our new video/audio podcast exploring the advanced/interactive-TV industry in the Coronavirus/Covid-19 Era.

This episode features Patrick Donoghue, Founder and President of immersive entertainment company, Next Stop Willoughby (note: the company’s name is taken from an episode of “The Twilight Zone”). Donoghue, who has won two Emmys, as well as one of the inaugural Awards for Leadership in Interactive and Multiplatform Television, recently launched Life Hutch VR, a virtual reality experience based on a short story by science-fiction author, Harlan Ellison. It is available on PCs and Mac’s, as well as on Steam, Vive and Oculus. Among other things, Donoghue explains why he decided to concentrate on VR after a distinguished career leading the development of new user experiences and interactive TV at Cablevision and Time Warner Cable; describes his experience working with Harlan Ellison; and shows us a range of visuals from Life Hutch VR.

(Note: If you would like to share your thoughts on how the Coronavirus/Covid-19 crisis will change the TV and advertising industries, and tell us what your company—or you yourself—are doing to prepare for this new reality, please contact us at [email protected].)
