Albert, a proud Bardi, Nyul Nyul, and Kija man from the Dampier Peninsula, has dedicated his life to conservation.
In 2019, he was honoured as Australian Geographic's Conservationist of the Year.

Albert’s deep connection to Culture, Country, and Indigenous Science is rooted in his upbringing in the remote Peninsula and Broome, coupled with his educational experiences in Perth.
