Carissime Lector,

Although we are now in the Easter Day, I would like to post the audio of the Holy Saturday Tenebrae Service at St Jude’s. What a blessing and pleasure to be able to share in the commemoration of our Lord’s descent among the dead. Singing the prayer of this service really does colour that whole day as the melodies of that prayer perfume the day awaiting the resurrection of Christ. You cannot help noticing that the execution of the singing has some imperfections. However, this was not a concert, but prayer that is sung. Included in this audio file are a few babbling babies and people coughing. Yet all these imperfections do not prevent the raising of our minds and hearts to God. The photos here show the sanctuary of St Jude’s Church. You will notice the large music desk from which some of the pieces were sung by the schola.
