Giovanna Healy

My guest is Giovanna Healy. She is an entrepreneur and co-founder and Executive Director at Sisters Of Strength. She was born in Colombia and spent several years of her life in Europe while attending school. She migrated to California a decade ago and made Los Angeles her home. When Giovanna became a single mother, she faced homelessness, unemployment, and challenging times. Still, regardless of her circumstances, she could push through and get a scholarship to go back to school and get a degree. Giovanna received her Master's degree from Loyola Marymount School of Education. She brings over ten years of experience in the education field as an educator, program developer, and trainer. She is a Special Education Consultant and dedicates her time to develop special education programs for charter organizations and to provide advocacy parent training.
