The ministry of public health takes precautionary measures on some food products imported from India
Instructions have been circulated to all ports that samples must be withdrawn from all consignments of green peppers, cardamom and a type of frozen buffalo meat imported from India. Stating that these products should not be released until proven safe and conforming to the requirements of the technical regulations and relevant standards.

The certificates should also state that the green peppers and cardamoms are free from pesticide residues, and that the Buffalo meat is free from salmonella.
