No visit visa or ID renewal without health insuranceYesterday the Shura council discussed the draft law on healthcare services in the country.
Health insurance will be made compulsory for all expatriates in Qatar, including residents and visitors. No visas will be issued, whether for work or a visit, and no resident permit will be renewed without insurance, according to a new draught law.
It would also not be permitted to employ expatriates without submitting proof of their participation in compulsory health insurance during the duration of their stay.
For today’s weather
It’s going to be hazy in places at first becoming moderate temperature later with some scattered clouds, relatively cold by tonight.
Doha will be between 18 and 29 degrees. Elsewhere in Qatar it will be between 10 and 26 degrees.
Now today’s COVID update.
In the last 24-hour period, there have been 481 new cases of COVID-19 and 311 recoveries. Which means there’s been an increase of 169 cases giving us a new current total of 11,958 active cases.
