Doha Design District to be a game changer in the GCC 

The newly launched Doha Design District will grant ‘Free Zone’ status to its occupants. Located in Msheireb Downtown Doha the Design District is set to be a gamechanger not only in Qatar but also in the GCC region.  And will become home for fashion, jewellery, medical and dental, aviation, military, oil and gas and many other businesses.

Action taken against 447 for flouting COVID norms

406 for not wearing masks in public places where they are mandatory, 34 for exceeding the maximum of four people in a car, 3 for failing to comply with quarantine rules, and 4 for not installing the Ehteraz app on their mobile phones.  

47 companies face action for violating COVID-19 protocol 

The companies did not comply with the rule requiring them to limit the number of workers transported on buses two half of their seating capacity. They also failed to ensure that workers maintain a safe distance from one another while getting in and out of buses, or indeed wearing masks properly. 

And over 100,000 have received COVID-19 vaccine so far 

Doctor Soha Al Bayat head of vaccination at the Ministry of Public Health says “in the coming days, we will see more and more people getting vaccinated. We have reached at least 50% of the target group”

The Met Office have put out a warning that there is expected to be strong winds with poor horizontal visibility today. Generally, the weather will be Misty too foggy in places at first, becoming moderate temperature later with some clouds and the chance of some rain. Due to the wind, you can also expect it to be quite dusty at some points throughout the day.

Doha will see temperatures between 19 and 30 degrees. Ohhh… it’s starting to warm up, this is the first time that I’ve seen 30 degrees for a while. Today's lowest temperature will be in Abu Samra which will see temperatures as low as 12 degrees.

In the last 24-hour period, active cases of COVID-19 have increased by 325, to 9,569.
