121: Normal Person’s Lunchtime

Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels.  This week, we're bringing you a double dose of Kevin, as we are joined this week by our pal Kevin Cole of Super∴Try Studios!  We'll be digging deeper into his work next week, but for now, let's talk about some video games...

We kick things off with a deep dive into ElecHead, one of the tightest designed platformers that either of us have played in recent memory!

From there, we dip into some roguelike action — anywhere from some of the more modern foundational classics, alongside a couple of potential classics-in-the-making!

After that, we gush about Go! Go! PogoGirl & [Speer] from our pal and0 over at Ohsat Games — a couple of masterclass homages to the retro platformers of yesteryear!

Finally, we close things out with a little tabletop talk and dig into the 'Commander' format of Magic the Gathering — and even venture off into HeroClix territory...
