Episode 52 sees Liam sit down with music journalist and author Ian Winwood.

This episode was recorded LIVE at the Signature Brew Taproom & Venue in London on February 20th.

For those who don't know about Ian's work, he has written for Kerrang!, NME, Mojo, Q and Revolver, among others. He is the author of Birth School Metallica Death, but most importantly, the author of 'Smash! Green Day, The Offspring, Bad Religion, NOFX, and the '90s Punk Explosion'. Great book, go pick it up where ever you get your books.

Liam and Ian spent little over an hour on stage talking about a wide range of subject matters such as...

Motörhead being his come to Jesus moment for discovering punk.

Why did Ian call the lead singer of Nickelback's Chad Kroeger a cunt in an article for Kerrang! Spoiler, He goes on to double and calls him a cowered live on stage!

Ian relives going into an Agnostic Front mosh pit in his 40's and they both talk about working in the world of freelancing.

They, of course, talk about Ian's book Smash and the bands that feature in the book (Green Day, Offspring, NOFX and Bad Religion to name a few) and Liam puts the audience on edge when he asks Ian about the paedophile and former lead singer of Lostprophets Ian Watkins… Expect to hear gasps from the audience!

Thank you to Signature Brew for not kicking us out and thanks to The Lagan for putting on a great show.
