Mike Winkelmann, known as Beeple, sold the most expensive work of digital art in
history on Mar 11, a collage containing 5,000 mostly digital illustrations in
non-fungible tokens. On Mar.4, another digital artist Ben Mauro’s collection
“Evolution” was sold out within 7 minutes on VIVE for $2 million. Not just them,
Twitter co-founder and CEO Jack Dorsey has put his first tweet NFT on auction
and the highest bid for the tweet is currently $2.5 million.

The recent vibe of NBA Top Shot is yet another hit of the NFT market. The market
is hot now and many are investing in, some are comparing NFT with ICO and there
are similarities. Why has the NFT become a thing now? What are the opportunities
and challenges the NFT will bring? What will be the foreseeable future of NFT.

Assistant Professor of Taipei Tech University and Chief Technologist of SELF
Token which are used to launch the first blockchain movie “The Last Thief” in
Taiwan and Hong Kong. He is the first Taiwanese participant of Singularity
University working on Crypto, AI & Blockchain.
