Previous Episode: Why We Don't Try New Things
Next Episode: Bullying

I want you to meet this amazing woman. Her name is Heather Quisel and she is self-proclaimed, shy introvert, ex-preschool teacher, and she’s gone on to build a multi-million dollar business from scratch by learning to step out of her comfort zone and into her full potential.

BUT...what is even more amazing to me is her backstory.  I’ll let you hear it in her own words on the podcast, but around this time last year her husband of 18 years went hunting…. and never came home.  He had an electrical misfiring in his heart and passed away very quickly after he sat down on a rock in the mountains. Leaving Heather as a young, 40-year old widow with three children.

In this podcast we really dug deep into so many things:  Identity How to work through grief She explained about what she calls the “widow’s sob” and how her kids would find her curled up in her closet sobbing underneath her husband’s clothes at times.   How to balance sharing things on social media and taking time to heal How she decided one day she just didn’t want to live with grief any longer, and began to manifest the life she did want to create How she coaches female entrepreneurs and helps them get the mindset to grow and scale their businesses (and how these mindset skills helped her during the most traumatic time in her life)

One of my favorite parts was when she told me she has this written down on her desk ever since Larry’s death, “We did it. We honored him and we rebuilt our lives. He would be so proud.”

She talked about how after discovering her husband was dead she knew she had to make a choice….

1) Die with her husband that day. Hold onto what she’d lost, crumble to her knees, and repeat things like,  ‘I’ll never get over this...I’ll never be able to move on...I’ll never be happy again...etc’. For the rest of her life.

Or

2) Figure out how to get up, walk forward, and rebuild a happy, healed, and successful life for herself and her kids.

We dug deep into all those very vulnerable topics...and even talked about dating after losing her husband and what that has been like for her!

This was a really great podcast and I think you really are going to love it, and if you aren’t already, you should definitely follow Heather.  She’s an incredible human being! You can connect with her HERE ----> https://www.facebook.com/groups/689025918227715/
